Leota G. (Miller-Aspinall) Wadsworth

Leota G. (Miller-Aspinall) Wadsworth passed away on April 26, 2017 age 80 of Zephyrhills, Florida, formally of Hastings, MI.

 

Born in Alama, MI on December 2, 1936 to Sager and Sadie (Scott) Miller. In September 1956 she married Ford Aspinall, Jr., who passed away after 44 wonderful years of marriage in May of 2000.

 

During her life she was employed at Hastings Action Rod, Flexfab, and attended Wright Beauty Academy, graduating as a licensed cosmetologist, she started Leota’s Hair Salon and after 25 years she and Ford retired and moved to Wesley Chapel, FL.

 

 She loved taking trips by motor home, a real passion for country music and went to every show she could, making jewelry and other crafts for different charities kept her busy, she had a huge doll collection, and by her requests has been donated to the church for underprivileged children.

 

Leota was very active member of the Methodist Church and the San Antonio FL Church where she met her husband Keith Wadsworth they were married May 2005.

 

Preceded in death by her husband Ford; parents, siblings; Tressa Miller, Lois Bowman, Freida Huver, Iva Reigler, Gerald Miller.

 

Survived by her husband, Keith, brothers; Sager Jr. (Marguerite) Miller, Robert (Sandra) Miller; best friend and sister in-law, Janet Aspinall, sister in-law’s; Evelyn Hecht, Joyce Aspinall, brother in-law; Norman (Diane) Aspinall, stepson’s; Michael (Marla) Wadsworth, Richard (Joan) Wadsworth and several special nieces and nephews.

 

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

 

A Celebration of Leota’s life will be held on May 18, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Commission on Aging located at 320 W Woodlawn Ave, Hastings, MI 49058

 

Memorial contributions in Leota’s name can be made to Commission on Aging or a charity of one’s choice.

Sharon Kay Dixon

Sharon Dixon, 70, of Hastings, joined her husband, Hugh Baker, and her parents in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

Sharon was born to the late Gerald and Irene Cutchall in Hastings on September 13, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Chase Baker and granddaughter Rachael Baker.

Sharon is survived by five children: Ted (Deb) Baker, Tim (Debbie) Baker, Trent (Stacey) Baker, Tariza Baker and Terry (Gail) Baker. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Angela (Chad) Metzger, Douglas (Shelby) Baker, Nikolas Baker, Bradley and Brandon Baker, Emily, Tessa and Samuel Fenstemaker, Tiffany Coley, Corey Payne and great-grandchildren, Jamie, Josslynn, Jeremiah and Juddsen Metzger and Abigail Coley. She is also survived by other family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 20 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thornapple Valley Church, 2750 South M-43 Highway. A private burial will be held later at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Middleville. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the family to help with funeral expenses.
