After years and months of planning, community support, and a shared commitment to serving older adults throughout Barry County, the Barry County Commission on Aging is ready for the official opening of its' new senior center facility.

 

The Grand Opening Celebration of the Barry County COA Activity & Resource Center will be held Tuesday, September 29th at 2625 East M-79 Highway, Hastings.

 

A a ribbon cutting will take place at 3:30pm, with an Open House immediately following.  The celebration will include remarks from community leaders and project partners, recognition of those who helped make the new facility possible, tours of the new building, and an opportunity to learn more about the programs and services available to Barry County seniors and their families. The public is encouraged to attend.

 

The new facility was designed to expand opportunities for connection, wellness, education, support, and access to services as the needs of Barry County's aging population continue to grow.
